so I borrowed a bag from them which came today...I don’t use the bags, I just want to see if the style would work for me then I ship them back within two days with tags attached and I get my money refunded as stated on their website. I get the bag today, and the tags are lying in the dust bag, unattached...I called them immediately and of course they are closed til Monday...I’m worried they are not going to believe me and I won’t get my money refunded. I did take a few pictures which will document this and the time...But they may still assume I used it all weekend...I’m not sure what to do....I could return it tomorrow morning, but again, they may think I used it today and tonight...arrrgghh, totally not my fault, but I feel like I’m going to get screwed on this one. Any thoughts?

Honestly I would just consider it the fee for using them with no intention of paying.

It sounds as if you may have done this several times, so perhaps consider that this time it would seem fair that you pay the rental fee. I think the policy was intended for people who truly want to rent or buy a bag but aren’t 100% sure, not for people to repeatedly try them out for a day or two, then return and never have to pay. I’m not trying to be rude, but they could even give you notice that they aren’t willing to continue to do business with you if you have quite a few returns without actually having to pay. I hope this makes sense without making you feel bad.

ok, not sure what you are saying, its states on their website and their receipt that you can ship the bag back early and if its shipped within 2 days of receiving you get your money back...

This is definitely abusing their system; it’s worth just paying for the borrow this time.

I agree with others, it does seem that you have taken advantage of their system. If you get hit with the fee this time, it wouldn’t be the end of the world.

I have a different opinion. You shouldn't have received a bag with the tags cut and shouldn't have to pay a fee if you are abiding by their stated policy.

A company will flag you eventually and send you a warning if they believe you are abusing their system. For example, too many returns from Fashionphile within 6 months and you get a warning and will have to pay a restocking fee for future returns.

There is a thread about people getting banned from Nordstrom's for excessive returns. If you only ever shipped to see a bag and returned it without ever paying for this service, I would not have the nerve to call looking to avoid a fee. You have gotten away with it for so long (even if it is within their rules) without paying fees, I wouldn't think you would want them to look at your history.
