I took my new (to me) baby spy out today and it felt great having to have to carry it like a satchel and not lugging it like a tote like I do with almost every other bag I have!

I don't think it can even fit properly on the shoulder. A big no no for me.

I'm somewhat petite but I don't find a baby spy is comfortable on the shoulder at all. If you find it comfortable then go for it, not abusive at all

I wish I could fit it on my shoulder, I love my baby spies but sometimes I want to be able to throw it on my shoulder. Glad to hear you're loving your new baby

I believe it's meant to be carried on the crook of your arm or handheld. the handles on the baby spy are small but if you're skinny and they can fit on your shoulder - then why not? Congrats on your new gorgeous bag
