B25s with gold hardware vs palladium hardware

Hi. I posted this question in the reseller thread so if this is not the right place to post, please remove. my sister is on the hunt for a new noir togo birkin 25 on the resale market and i'm trying to help her find a reasonably priced one. whenever i browse on fashionphile or similarly janefinds, new black birkin 25s with gold hardware are always priced significantly higher than those with palladium hardware. is it because gold hardware is harder to come by in general so consignment shops factor in that premium? Just wondering what warrants the $3-4k markup on a B25 w/gold hardware vs B25 w/palladium..the price difference is insane.

Black with ghw is the ultimate classic H bag, so they're priced accordingly. I've been told stores don't get very many, and even then a black w/ghw Kelly or Birkin is on everyone's wish list.

It’s a classic color and on everyone’s wish list as DB8 mentioned and one of the hardest to get in my opinion.

Agree with everyone, Black with GHW is the ultimate classic and is on everyones wishlist. I noticed that Black GHW is sold for higher than Black RGHW even though RGHW is relatively much more limited and newer.
