Authenticity card question

Hi everyone
I’m new to Dior. I was wondering if Dior still does authenticity card. I’m looking at a 2018 pouch on fashionphile and it doesn’t have a card.
Dior never had authenticity cards...the cards that came inside the bags were typically statement of quality or origin or the store would sign that you purchased at the store. They are in no way tied to the item via serial number etc. I throw mine away as soon as I receive a bag as they are useless.

Hi,

my handbags have previously been delivered with an authenticity card stamped and signed by the SA from the boutique with some sort of number on it. However, at least in France, they stopped signing the cards around New Years I think and I was told that they’re not doing it anymore. So now the cards are just blank/generic. Any small leather goods or accessories I’ve bought has never had any authenticity cards.:)

I’m new to Dior as well and just purchased my first Dior item - a wallet. I purchased from fashionphile and it came with a blank/generic card. Is this what you mean by the new cards? I was a bit surprised to see the store info missing from the back of the card. (The wallet was produced in 09-2021 according to the serial code.)

Hi,

in my experience authenticity cards that has “authenticity card” written in them and looks exactly the same as before with blank spaces on the back and a number are still included when purchasing a handbag. They look different than this one. I’ve never received any card or certificate or anything like that with any small leather goods I’ve purchased. In fact this card reminds me of a card that came with a pair of sunglasses I bought years ago.

Agreed, my SA still signs the authenticity card and includes them with any bags I've purchased but it's possible that with resell sites like Fashionphile and depending on the previous owners there's no guarantee that the card is for the specific bag you're buying second hand. Best way to ensure authenticity is to check the date code in the bag itself and other features through the Authenticate This thread
