Hello there! It has been a long time since I have been on this forum. I purchased this black Tiny PS1 bag on TRR. I’m pretty sure it is authentic () but it’s missing the logo tag and it’s kind of making me nuts. Could someone confirm if the bag is authentic, please? I have a very old Mini and a Medium and have always wanted a Tiny. This bag looks somewhat newer to me based on the lining and the design of the bottom. If the bag is authentic I will try to let it go that it is without the logo tag. I just love the bag. It the perfect size.
Thank you so much.

There is no cloth tag in the zipper pocket. Only the leather flap tag and that tiny leather tag in the main interior. I was finally able to get a the serial number on that tiny black leather tab in the main compartment. I believe it says 103006820. That last 8 could be a 3, but it does read different from the 3. I took a few more pics. Thank you for your time. IMG_7629.jpeg IMG_7630.jpeg IMG_7632.jpeg IMG_7625.jpeg

OH! I thought InTheOcean asked to see more photos of the tags in the interior! I just woke up so maybe I’m a little bleary eyed? Maybe I saw your response to the previous inquiry but now see the AOK that my Tiny is authentic. Thank you again! I do love this resource. Have a good weekend!

That's ok, thanks for additional photos. They've changed things up a bit some time ago. These new bags, with the shiny hardware, come with the leather label instead of the old fabric one in the zipper pocket. I don't think they indicate week and year of production, though. Not sure, sorry. Here's a Mini PS1 on Yoogi's, for instance: https://www.yoogiscloset.com/538164-proenza-schouler-light-green-leather-mini-ps1-crossbody-bag.html

Hi again,
Yeah…the newer bags skimp out on some of the (nicer) details of the older bags. Ex: I forgot that I also bought a gray Mini from PS on sale a few years ago. The new ones do not have a back, flat, patch pocket. My gray bag hardware is a matte, brighter silver finish. I prefer the gun-metal (oxidized) or the matte. This is my first high-polished hardware. It’s in good shape. I just HATE that my new bag is missing the logo tag. But knowing it’s authentic (all of the markers I’m aware of pointed to authentic), I’ll deal, especially at the price I bought. Trade-offs. Stuff breaks….I’d probably be more unhappy if I bought at full price and somehow the tag broke and fell off. And it’s one less thing to get scratched and junked up. My other bags all have older tags, which I prefer the look of better to the current ones. Thanks for the other bit of info about the inside tags.
Best,
Michele

It still looks great! Perhaps you could add a charm instead of the missing hangtag? I slightly prefer the gunmetal or old silver HW to the new one, but frankly, I think Proenza Schouler did a really good job of updating the look of their iconic bag without making it too different or over the top.

Agree. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the PS1 bags and all of their evolution overall. I keep going back to them. I love their minimal and classic design and their details are still spot-on. They’re functionally well designed too. They wear well physically. Point taken on adding my own charm! I’m a metalsmith/jeweler and perhaps I can hang something of my own and something I had not considered! I’m relieved to have your seal of approval and love the bag. I will wear it a lot! You admins/authenticators are awesome! Thanks again.

You're very welcome! Yes, the PS1 is a true workhorse, even in the size Tiny (which isn't all that tiny!)

Hi! May I ask for your expert opinions again? I’m always on the hunt and found this little gem I’m wondering about if it’s genuine.

I bought this black leather PS11 tote. The hardware is both silver and gold. The zippers on the sides can be used to widen the bag for more space as you unlock the lock at the front. It’s quite heavy. I could not find a serial number or something like it anywhere.

Thank you in advance for looking into this with me. If it’s real, I’m also wondering what edition/year it is.

Hi, it's authentic. It's the PS11 Capri Tote from 2011 or a little later, see the ref. thread: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/proenza-schouler-ps11-reference-thread.673201/post-18532453
Congrats on this find
