Authenticate This PRADA

Hi everyone,

I hope you're having a great day! I was wondering if anyone could authenticate this bag for me? I previously bought another Micro Galleria in the older model and was looking for the newer version one since the handle drop is bigger. The bag details is as below. The bag just arrived so I can attach any additional images if needed. Your expertise would be greatly appreciate!

Thanks in advance!

I'm not seeing any red flags in their photos, but post your own photos of the required details just to be sure. Did you get cards with it? Photos of those as well, if you have any.

I'm so glad to hear! I was slightly concerned about the distance between the stitches on the clochette so that's reassuring. I have attached additional pictures below. Thank you!

Hi! I was on a bag ban for the next few months, but came across this beauty. Was wondering what you all thought of it? What I found interesting was that the croc closeup appears to be genuine even though the seller is claiming it to be embossed. But, the lining is the Prada jacquard…weird! Thanks in advance for your help here!

Comments: No white factory number/quality assurance tags. Seller says the bag was bought 20 years ago, so that may be why?

White/number tags have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with authenticity - we keep saying it but it seems that no-one reads our posts.

The bag looks authentic but I think it's a bit older than 20 years. It's not unlike one I had in the 1980s iirc. And it's a testament to how good Prada workmanship and quality was waaaay back then.

Thank you for the help @missfiggy! While I understand the presence of those tags doesn’t mean authenticity, the lack of makes me nervous, but I’m still learning! I asked the seller and she can’t remember if she removed it, fell off or was never there. She is the original owner; any reason why a bag might not have the factory tags from the beginning?

Plenty. The age of the bag, the manufacturing process, the location of the manufacturer, the dictates of the copyright owner, the any/many various legal requirements, the specific assembler and/or machinist(s), and many other reasons which may have existed 40/50 years ago. Or the assembler simply forgot or overlooked it.
The lack of these inconsequential tags would NOT make me nervous at all.

Hi! Just curious if this bag on Fashionphile is authentic. I know this style gets counterfeited the most and that Fashionphile has sold fakes  The interior tag gives me pause...

Thank you!

Comments: Thank you again!
Personally, I would NEVER, EVER purchase this style from anywhere except Prada's own stores.

Counterfeits of this style vastly outnumber authentics and are so well done that they are impossible to assess just from photos.

Personally, again, I wouldn't touch this one.

Tread your own path though.
