I have bought several Hermes scarves on eBay before I knew about your wonderful forum! I will list them separately for ease of tracking for myself. I have all of them in my possession now and can provide more photos and details.

Comments: The fabric is slightly more shiny than my Hermes store bought scarf. The weight of the fabric is similar and the care tag is missing. The pink "ribbon" and the flacons are marbled and/or have certain gradation in color. The reverse side is lighter and black outlines don't bleed through.

Comments: The weight and sheen of the fabric are similar to my genuine Hermes, there is no tag and the reverse side has a irregular bleed through (only reds, yellows and parts of black are visible) - that's the part that worries me.

Comments: FAbric weight and sheen are similar to genuine Hermes and it has that swoosh sound when you handle it. The reverse side has more bleed through from green, less from yellow and almost none from brown/beige. Care tag is missing.

Comments: No care tag or name of the pattern but author is J. Metz and has Hermes Paris and Hermes on it, both with backward accent. The sheen is fairly matte and the scarf makes that characteristic swoosh sound when handled. The reverse side is very saturated though - just a bit less bright than the front. In fact the previous owner wore it on that side, as all the staining is on the reverse side.

Comments: Fabric is nice heavy twill with only a slight shine to it. The Hermes Paris with back accent is there and it has a folded in half care tag in French (European care symbols). The saturation on the reverse side is significant for all colors with only the browns a bit lighter.
What do you think?

Good morning! I received a "Hello Dolly" for Christmas from my father. He has purchased me many Hermes scarves over the years, in the shops and on eBay. He believes the scarf to be authentic but I'm not sure. He purchased it for $75, believing that it was priced so low because it has a pull in the lower left quadrant.

I searched "completed" sales and could not find the exact scarf listing. Does anyone recall seeing an inexpensive "Hello Dolly" over the last few months, most likely some time between April and September?

Unlike this completed listing, however, mine still has the tag attached.

My dad does not want to share his eBay name so I can't look it up that way.

The concern I have with mine is the texture: It has no sheen. It feels like it's been through a washing machine or something. The tag is in poor condition, it has a pull as well. However, the hems seem genuine. I just don't know what to think and I was hoping someone had seen this particular scarf in the past.

I am not familiar with item NO. 1 and the pictures are very poor.
The special edition of Early America from seller paolangelo is authentic.
