I don't know why, probably multiple reasons. The style was made for a long time and was popular so it isn't surprising there are a lot on the market. A lot of Japanese sellers list the same bag. There is only one but it could be listed 10 times by different sellers. We do see a lot of fakes out of Japan lately.
Oh, I saved the posting for that gray one bottom row, second from the right, because it was so odd:

The measurements are closer to a Maggie 9019, though the creed says 9085. The tags are suspiciously large I think! I have seen other duffles that are supposed to be "75th Anniversary" and they look pretty different

Comments: I own a few of these and everything looks and feels as it should but just realized about the month (I) in serial number. I actually bought this and have it in hand if additional photos are needed. Attention lapse on my part!

Many thanks!
Other details: It also has the outlet bullseye, which makes me wonder if the "I" was a mistake that might designate it as a second? It has the little Coach booklet still in the pocket. Very little wear, like it's been in a time capsule. It is the very soft Costa Rican leather.

I purchased what I thought was a vintage coach sutton online. I didn’t do enough research because I assumed the creed was pre-1994, but now I’m finding out the sutton came out after 1994. I’ve never seen a creed with a thick font like that either. It has three compartments. I couldn’t find anything in the pre-1994 catalogs that looked similar.

Length: 11”
Height: 7”

It's authentic. It's a known mistake.

The "creed" doesn't really represent the style number for the bag. For awhile they were putting these into some newer bags. The actual creed number is probably on a tiny tag attached to the side seam or inside a pocket. It is obviously a smaller bag.

Hi authenticators,

First time posting though I’ve been educating myself on the thread for awhile. Thanks to all for the excellent information available here. Would you take a look at this bag?

Dims 7x6x2.5
Thrift store

It’s hard to see in the photos and through the dirt, but the trim is saddle and the body is taupe or khaki.

I’m thinking Mini Bag, Spectator version #6825, late 80s before serial number format changed to xxxx-xxx?

Thank you!
Hi authenticators, would you be willing please to have a look at this bag? 🙏 Thanks so much for everything you do here!

Hi authenticators, this is a second similar bag. Would you take a look?

Dims 7x6x2.5
Thrift store (purchased)

I’m thinking Mini Bag, 9825, late 80s? The crookedness of the registration stamp concerned me at first wrt authenticity. But if you look very closely (easier to see in person) you can see the top of the last two digits in the next number in sequence (“20”). Mechanical stamping error… she says, fingers crossed as already purchased…?

Thank you!
I’ll be grateful if you’ll look at this second mini bag also! 🙏🙏
