This is the perfect bag I wanted, just placed an order. A gift to myself for my upcoming 30th birthday. It's supposedly also from between 1989-1991, and thus ~30 years old! I was just vary of ordering since it's an individual seller.

Do you think it would be a good idea to get a certificate from Etinceler too just in case I need to resell it in the future ever (though I don't think I will)?

It's always a good idea to have a certificate of authenticity on hand when you want to sell a bag

HELP!!

I purchased 2 Chanel’s from a Paris consignment shop. They claimed to be authentic & it’s ilegal to sell counterfeit it’s in France. They gave me a full receipt, and filled out the VAT tax and everything. Well I had it authenticated from 2 sources and both say it’s counterfeit. Also the 2nd bag on further examination has gold colored plastic where it should be gold.
Anyways I contacted the store explained everything, showing them my authenticity paperwork.
I told them I just any a refund. I’m so heartbroken! She is saying that it’s 100 real and that the only way she will
Fix the problem is if the Chanel store I Paris says it’s fake. Everything I have read is Chanel boutiques do not authenticate. Is this anything of her trying to scam me. I literally won’t let this end. I lost a lot of money to hear. I would greatly appreciate some advice.

How long ago did you buy it? If you paid with your CC, contact them with proof of non-authenticity you received from the 2 authentication services you used. They might be able to help you with a charge back, depending on when the purchase was made.

I just bought a Chanel Large Cambon Reporter bag from The Real Real and a few things bothered me about whether this bag is authentic. I’ve included the details below, but here are the things that bother me:
1. The embossed Chanel and Made In Italy stamp inside the bag seems sloppy. The cut of the leather seems rough around the edges too. If you zoom into the picture, you should be able to see what I am observing for both these issues.
2. Even though the bag states it was made in Italy, it says “Made in Paris” behind the clasps as pictured.

Comments: I think the cc turn lock is flipped since the hallmark is on the lower right vs top left and the “Chanel paris“ engraving is facing the wrong way. Not sure if this bag was taken apart before? Texture is also not as buttery smooth as other lambskin but could be due to age? Not sure if it’s been repainted? The box number says Agneau Coloris 10 and style code “A 2500 7100 0372 01 010”. Also the stitching that hold the inner flap to exterior seems thick. The front and the back of the authenticity card looks like it has some gold specs smeared but I’m not able to rub anything off.


So sorry! I’m just being paranoid since I’ve been scammed before and now questioning some of my Chanels. Eeesh! Thank you so so much!
