Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anybody who owns a McQueen/knows the brand, could provide me with any useful info on how to spot a fakey bag?

I just purchased my first McQueen off (the dreaded) eBay, it wasn't necessarily a bargain, but it gives me even more of a reason to want to be a 100% sure that the bag I'm receiving is the real deal.

Also the seller asked for me to pay thru bank deposit (*gasp*) I said no way!

Any advice/opinions would be very much appreciated.

Kate -- generally speaking, we don't want to list reasons why anything is fake on this site, because the counterfeiters can read it and use our info to make their fakes "better."

Since you bought the bag, your best bet is to wait for it to arrive and take pics and post them here. Good luck!

Hi I think I have bought two fakes off of ebay :sad: Hubby has camera so can't post a photo but I have no 'made in Italy' on the tag, just 'Alexander Mcqueen' and it is in a loop not stitched flat. Also the 'Alexander Mcqueen on the scarf itself is about 2cm away from the bottom skull. All the photos I have looked at of authentic scarves seem to have it quite close. What do you think?

here you go. I would put up pics of them IRL but hubby still has the camera (is a way working) and plus we have exceeded our download limit for the month so computer is being very slow!

Just from the price I can tell you those are fake. You simply cannot get $260 scarves, new with tags, for $30. Have you tried to purchase on AlexanderMcQueen.com? They sell many color combos there.
