I am getting very interested in doing a recut on my diamond from MRB to OEC. I will be keeping in the same halo, but had several concerns and questions for those who have used SingleStone or another cutter.

2sanguinehearts has the most gorgeous recut and ring ever! So most of these questions will be geared for her... But if anyone else has stories or photos to share, that would be most helpful!

Overview: 2.43 GIA, XXX, J, SI1, 8.7mm round

1. Did you lose enough stone after the recutting to notice? Does the new, chunkier faceting affect the size visually?
2. Does a diamonds have to possess specific numbers and angles to be a good candidate for a recut?
3. How is the charge calculated? Based on carat, maybe??
