Assistance Kelly 28 Beton Togo

Hi!
Although my journey recently started in February, I have fell in love with a few beautiful peices from H in which today my SA has offered me a K28 retourne in beton togo with gold hardware.

With that said, last week when I arrived at the boutique to pick up items I ordered my sa was very direct with having me tell her what colors I would like if the opportunity presented itself. When we connected a month later I provided my sa with my wishlist which consisted of a B25/K25 and a mini and I was flexible with colors. So when she asked me last week to be specific I know this day would come.

Since it isnt the size I wanted but the color and hardware, I have never seen a K28 up close. Can anyone provide their thoughts of a K28 if they own one? By the way, Im 5'7"

We are a very similar height. I can’t compare the 28 to the K25 - I own a K28 sellier, and a K32 retourné - but I have a K28 retourné on my wishlist atm. Personally I think the K28 (in either format) is the sweet spot of the K family in terms of its balanced proportions. I especially love the proportion of the handle to the bag in this size.

I think it certainly would work with your height. Whether it would work with your lifestyle is a question for you. Good luck with the decision!

I am 5'3" and I have K28 exact specs as yours but palladium hardware. It was love at first sight . Saw a few veins in the leather and I was like . It's the perfect size, for me anyway. Not too big, not too small, just right! It was the first time to see Beton in person, and the colour is so much nicer than I expected. I prefer palladium, and find it pulls more cool tone, but have seen some with gold hardware and they pull a bit creamier tone. Either way, beautiful bag.

I own 2 Kelly 28 Retourne, I am 5.5 and this is perfect size for me. I carry it with the handle, on shoulder or even crossbody.
The size is also perfect for ma daily needs.

I found 25 Retourne being quite small.

Anyway, you cant go wrong with a medium size always be trendy no matter what trend is going one (mini's at the moment, or big bags)

The Kelly 28 retourne really is the perfect size. Is smaller than the sellier in the 28. Congratulations on your new bag!

Kelly 25 and 28 on 5’1 sizing help!!

Hi everyone I’m new to the Hermes world and am looking to buy one preloved!! I would love to see photos of 5’1 with the Kelly 25 & 28 sizes. I’m a bit nervous that the 28 will be too big… any insight is greatly appreciated

ETA: I am 5’2 and have a B25 sellier,B30 ; K25 sellier, K28 retourne and sellier; K32 sellier
(I generally prefer the architectural lines of sellier and wear it casually
I tend to think the mini K is too small (some report it can squeeze in an iPhone 14 without a case,
but I believe others have differing opinions. also, bag sizes have been trending larger
for some time now. I vacillate bc the mini K reminds me a bit of some small preppy bags of the 1980s. lol

I am 5'8 and just got a kelly 28. It is so tiny IMO! I think the K25 would be too small on a 5'7 frame and my SA said the K25 can't really hold too much and it is only popular because everyone wants one. The bag sounds beautiful, share pics if you end up getting it .

Will you use an inner bag? after placing an inner bag, there is not really plenty of room in a K28 (mine is Sellier though). For your height, I don't think a K28 retourne will be any kind of large at all.
Beton and gold hardware are unbeatable!

I'm with @Veritybelle that the Kelly 28 retourné is the sweet spot in Kellys (this might be why I'm about to order my fourth LOL).
I love Kelly 25, but for where I live (cities with walking and weather) it is wonderful to be able to add a shawl, a mini umbrella, even a tiny water bottle to my bag.
I also think mini bags will trend down and all this size 25 mania will go away, while the 28 will remain on the smaller side of forever classic.
I am 5'2" so smaller than OP, and K28r looks just fine on me, so it will look just fine on a 5'7" person.

ETA: remember retourné looks smaller than sellier, but holds more.

Try it on. You will know when you see it.

I am 5’5” and I think both 25 and 28 work for me. Here are comparison photos (both Sellier). I will say the difference is noticeable.

Thank you sooo much for sending the previous post and sharing your thoughts!!! OMG nostalgic era for me and brought back memories...I was one with that 1980s small preppy bag...lol
