Hello fellow LV lovers! Will need your help voting on which Artsy to get. My “dream” bag was always the Artsy but for whatever reason I never got it and always ended up with other bags. Maybe because I was too worried about the comfort of the bag. I tend to buy bags and end up not liking it then end up selling them. The purpose of the bag is for everyday use for work. I don’t commute far and drive to work so weight is not an issue for me. So now that I’m ready to purchase the bag I can’t choose!

I’m not a BIG fan of the vachetta trim on the new canvas bags. I am eyeing on an excellent condition artsy in empreinte leather in noir on fashionphile. But I still can’t choose on which one to get! Would love everyone’s input.

Is the vachetta trim a deal breaker for anyone?

Would really love and appreciate everyone’s response!

I have the original Artsy. Were I to buy it now, the trim would be a turn off for me.

OMG, I just purchased a pre-loved monogram Artsy, it arrived to day but I am at work so I will not be able to see it until tonight! The current version I am not a fan of, I would go for the emprente out of the 2 but it is heavy, I owned and sold it for that reason.

Oo do share pics when you get a chance! I’d like the monogram but I cannot find a decent pre-loved one in excellent condition without the trim. A lot of people don’t see it as a big deal but I don’t like the way it looks

I personally LOVE the vachetta trim on my Artsy Canvas Mono bag! I think it adds to the overall look in the bag and ties in nicely with the vachetta top handle. It prevents the canvas from cracking on the ends and also, imo, makes the bag more beautiful. :) I like the leather Artsy but not over the canvas. It's just too heavy looking for me. If I were going to get it in leather, the only one I would consider is the navy blue with red glazing (there was one like that correct?). I say follow your heart. It's an expensive purchase to not go for the one YOU really love. :) I see I'm the only one that loves that vachetta trim! Lol

I appreciate your opinion!! Can I ask, does the vachetta trim prevent the top from “folding in” if that makes sense. Also does it show any creases from constant use?

Even tho I don’t have to carry bag that often I’m still worried about the weight of the empreinte leather cos sometimes I do have to hold it for a period of time!

No the vachetta trim still allows the top to fold in to get that hobo look. I haven't seen any creasing in my vachetta trim but I don't use the bag that often. Looking at it I don't think it would develop creasing as the top wouldn't be bunched up as you are using the bag. I have so many bags that I don't grab the Artsy much and also I will only grab it if the weather allows it but so far all looks great. I will say the Artsy top handle is not very comfortable tho. Perhaps the strap needs to break in more. I still use it, just letting you know about the comfort. :) I don't load it up very much so I'm able to manage but If I did, it may really be a turn off as far a comfort. Here is a pic of my Artsy

No you are not the only one!
I do also have the new version with the trim and to me its more beautiful :loveeyes:
And I still think there is a good reason why LV changed it and added the vachetta:tup:

Love!! I paid 1200 for it. Made in spain from 2014.

Thanks all for your opinions! I ended up finding an excellent condition from 2010 pre-loved from fashionphile. I just placed the order and it should arrive by next week. I’m really hoping there are not much flaws. Cant wait to get it and hope I’ll love it enough to keep it! Reason I opted for canvas is because I already have the Pochette metis in empreinte leather. The only canvas I have is the Damier neverfull and the MPA khaki.

I got it at a decent price $2200 ish after tax and discount I received from them.
