Artists who paint bags

Hello! As some of you have probably seen in the Chanel forum, I got my Chanel bag painted:

The thread sparked a lot of interest, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much you all loved the final product!

I did a lot of research before finding the perfect artist to work on my baby. This led me to discover a lot of talented artists out there, so I thought it would be fun to mention those artists here and post some of their amazing work.

I will post the work of a different artist every few days, so stay tuned!

Let’s start with the artist who painted my bag: DTLA Custom. They are based in Los Angeles, California.

Including shipping, how much did they charge for chanel job?

Most of our art is custom quoted due to the vast amount of options offered, but as a guide our basic art work starts at $375 and each project will be custom quoted from there.

The next artist is Styled4moi. She is based in Singapore. I was initially going to go with her because she does amazing butterflies, but I figured it would be too much of a hassle to ship my bag overseas.

Thanks for start this beautiful thread! I’m very fan of bags painted by artists because they make your purse more special and unique.

In my opinion, is an ambulant piece of art and I support this alternative

I'm not usually a fan of painted bags, but I love these, especially the trompe l-oeil on Hermes (particularly the brown ribbons). I also really like the butterflies on the Goyard. Somehow it doesn't seem as much of a travesty to me to paint on coated canvas bags.
