Hi Everyone,

I just did my arm 360 lipo at Girin plastic surgery and I am slowly recovering now!

I had my final consultation with Dr Park Doek Jun and he was very friendly and professional. I think because he has done so many arm lipo surgery he knew where to draw for the preop design. I showed him photos of what arm I wanted and he understood.

I was feeling relaxed before the surgery but when I walked into the surgery room I started to get a bit nervous, I told my translator but she was nice and reassured me it was okay. It may feel scary but when the nurses sedate you and you breathe into the gas you’ll get knocked out pretty quickly. I went under general anaesthesia.

When I woke up after the surgery I was quite nauseous and I needed to hold on to the nurse as I walked. As I was waking out of the surgery room I saw the fat that had been removed from my arms which was great to see. Apparently i had 850ml removed!

I was give 2 hours to rest in the recovery room with a heated blanket and got ready to leave. I had called my friend to come pick me up ( I recommend bringing someone to help you) and she led me down to the pharmacy next to Girin to pick up my medicine and banaids. She called the taxi and we made it back to my apartment where I ate some congee and drank lots of water.

I woke up the next morning and was very puffy and had some leakage. My body felt very sore and tired so I took my prescribed medicines. My body was swelling and my arm looked even bigger then pre-op but I knew that was part of the process.

The first 2-3 days it is best to relax as you may be quite swollen, by day 4-6 I said see the swelling subside. I would say wearing the compression garment is very uncomfortable but it is necessary to wear as it compresses the swelling. You need to wear the compression garment 23-24/7 a week.

By day 7 I went to get the stitches out which was very quick and painless. Dr Park Doek Jun came in to do the post op assessment and he said the swelling will subside. I am grateful he came and double checked everything.

Regarding the results, I saw a difference on day 9-10. I have to have more patience but I am really excited to see what this would look like in a month.

Where are the scars located? Are they in a visible area?

Congrats on the good results. Looks great, happy for you 👍

Did it hurt anytime during your recovery process? did you feel very weak in the arms at all the first few days post op? Could you use your arms to tie a ponytail or wash your hair?

Hi phenominous,

Omg good question! I recommend having button up shirts handy as it is difficult to put on a shirt over your head.

It was difficult to wash my hair and reach for items above my head.

I am almost a month out of post op and it is still a little difficult to move my arms around (I think the nerves are regenerating as I heal)

I would say the feeling is not “pain” but like you did a very tough work out at the gym. The feeling of soreness.

I think it will take me maybe another month to fully recover as they say final results will be evident by the 3-6 month.

Regarding the scars, two are inside my armpit and two are above my elbow. The ones above my elbow are visible.

I will post a one month post op update soon!

If you have any more questions let me know!

Are you thinking of getting arm lipo done?

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like the recovery process is tough. Yeah I'm considering it but I won't have anybody with me to help so I was wondering it's possible to go through with it completely alone 😅

Heys! So I went semi alone.

I flew back and forth alone and lived alone in Korea while I was there, but I did have a friend already in Korea who I would meet up with.

She picked me up from Girin, helped get my medicine and ordered some congee for me straight after the surgery.

I believe it is possible to go alone, but it’s defs a lot harder.

On the first few days, you may need to go to the hairdresser to get your hair washed as it is extremely difficult to do it yourself.

May I ask how much this procedure cost?
