Are you kidding?

Unfortunately even if they are used and are resellers, they know they can get more of the money since there's always such high demand for Chanel.

I was looking through Yoogi's Closet just for fun and noticed a silver Sevruga WOC selling for $1145 when people could get it for less than that! Rather buy a new one for less than a "like new" one for more!

Lol - I've been looking at that woc at Yoogi's and was thinking the same thing. Recently I had bought (and ended up returning) a black Sevruga for $995.

How idiotic of them. That's honestly ridiculous.

I can agree that it's supply and demand but when they're charging more for items that people can easily find in store, they're losing out on the sale! Especially something like the sevruga WOC! If it was a jumbo classic flap bag, that's a different story!

The people at fashionphile are lovely...really excellent customer service. I live near their showroom and have been able to try on several bags before purchasing, which is nice. However, I haven't bought anything in a while because their prices have become astronomical. I think they overprice everything on their site with the knowledge that only a few pieces will actually sell at these prices. Those that don't fetch over-retail prices are then sold on eBay at more moderate prices. So, there's kind of a backdoor to getting an ok deal.

There are still a few resellers out there that price their bags right, acknowledging that they are in fact used items and should, therefore, cost less. But, to be honest, I think this is the case only because they don't really understand the true resale value of the bags. To them, the fact that the bag is pre-owned means that the price should logically be lower. And, since they're not Chanel specialists, they don't understand that classic Chanel is an exception to this guideline. Thank goodness for these few because otherwise, I'd have to kiss Chanel goodbye.

Oh, and by the way, Fashionphile is not alone. Malleries, Portero....all ridiculous these days.

I understand charging a premium for something that is hard to find and rare but for something that is readily available in stores is ridiculous. It just makes them look dishonest in my eyes.

Hi Chanel Lovers,

I purchased a unique purple, silver chain on May 7, 2011 at Bloomies.. debating if I should keep it. I just remodeled my room and don't want to do double the damage... :sweatdrop:

What should I do?

This is the same exact purse I bought....

So I've been look for a WOC for a little while now that appears to be sold out in all stores. Turning to eBay and bonanza, I came across this tonight:

http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Chanel-Black-Caviar-Wallet-on-Chain-WOC-MINT/36985080

Through some weird search strategies (I'm not even sure what I did), I came across this old eBay listing from last week:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190539890644&_rdc=1

It's the EXACT SAME BAG (at least same desc and same serial numbers)! Only now it's $200 more expensive because it went from "brand new with tags" to "mint" (i.e., used). Looks like someone bought it, used it for a week, then is trying to resell it for more?

All I can say is, Wow. Kudos to her if she manages to sell it, I guess.
