Gah! $15? Wow, that's a great deal! I've paid $100-$200 for mine! You should definitely go for it! At that price you've got nothing to lose! Even if it doesn't last long, you'll have enjoyed it enough to recoup what you payed.
Having said that, I've owned a few TH bags and I've had good luck with them.
I've had a bunch of crossbodies from their men's collection over the years. I used to commute on a bike and that crossbody size (small, slim, men's messenger bag) was perfect for my needs. They always had fun, colourful linings which contrasted with the plain exterior and I loved that.
With daily use and abuse, they lasted about a year each. At that point I was fed up of them and donated them. They were still in usable condition and looked very good for the amount of wear they got.
From the women's collection, my first leather crossbody lasted almost 1.5 years before the piping around the edges started to become exposed. I did not use it daily but I did use it fairly regularly. I had the piping repaired and gifted it to a friend who had asked me for it. I think she got another 8-9 months of daily use out of it as well.

I have one more metallic leather mini crossbody from the women's, too, but I've yet to use it. I doubt this one will last as long because of the metallic colour that I think will scratch easily. Maybe that's why I haven't used it yet! It's so pretty that I don't want to damage it!
Hope that helps.
