I am a true Coach hoarder! My husband and I moved from our home city to a new city back in January. Very carefully, I packed up all the bags into plastic containers and now those containers are stored in our guest/storage room. This past weekend, I finally starting going through my bags and boy oh boy, do I hoard my Coach bags!

I have a great fondness for my bags...I rarely use them and have a few that are a part of my daily rotation. I have many bags in all different colors and collections. A couple of 'em. I have used once and many I never used at all. My issue is that I don't want to 'ruin' my beautiful bags and so it takes me a while to finally use one. LOL!!

Are you a hoarder too? Please don't let me be the only weird one! LOL

Hmmm, I don't remember writing this? :amuse: Well, at least the second paragraph. Sometimes the ones I love the most are the ones I wear the least because I want them to last a long time in great condition. Go figure....

I like to consider myself more of a collector rather than a hoarder.

Ah yes, a COLLECTOR! hahah And I feel the same - I want my bags to stay in great condition!

As you can tell, you are far from the only one. I too, was once a hoarder, but I broke myself from that....at least as far as bags are concerned, I still do hoard, er, collect Coach keychains / fobs. I still have a nice assortment of bags and I do use the bags, but I am so careful with them to the point of being paranoid. Thank God for Frye bags, they are meant to look beat up so I don't have to worry about them!

When I read your post, I thought you were talking about me!! The part about not wanting to ruin your beautiful bags is 100% me. There are bags that I have in my closet that still have tags on them. Brand new, never worn. It's not that I don't love them. I just know myself and if I get a mark on them, or the leather starts to fade or the hardware scratches, I will kick myself. No matter how well you maintain them, it will still have "wear". So, I procrastinate using them. I actually spent this past weekend organizing my bags as well. They are starting to pile up again so I made space by donating some "throwaways" (never Coach!).

Totally agree with this! I've downsized a lot and only have 7 bags at the moment so I don't consider myself a hoarder. HOWEVER, I 10000% agree with not wanting to ruin bags therefore never carrying them often! I've forced myself to ease up a bit and just ENJOY the bags rather than keep them hidden away in dust bags in my closet. After all, what's the point of buying a bag you love if you're never going to carry it? And who am I kidding, if I ever ruin a bag, there will always be plenty more to pick from when I need/want a new one!

You know, I've been bag obsessed for about 5 or 6 years and liked bags before that. When Coach had an unlimited return policy I would keep bags for a long time - sometimes up to a year -and then, return them.

I maybe have 12 to 15 bags and buy about 2 two a year now. What I can't do is seem to sell off the one's I don't use. There are not that many of them, but a couple, I should just list on ebay. But, I will ebay a few I think. I just dont' think I will get that much for them, so I'm like why sell them.

I have more than I can use but I love them all. By having so many, none get used very much and most stay in good condition. I have a few that show more wear than I would like and it makes me so sad. I can't decide if I should just try to overlook their flaws and continue to carry them or get rid of them. Of course, I'm not talking about my vintage bags. Those I expect to look somewhat used but I still love to keep them pristine. I have a few items I never use because I want them to stay perfect.

I don't have a rotation schedule. I carry a bag for a few days or a week and then switch into whichever bag grabs my eye at the moment. Sometimes I'll switch because of something I see, like someone posts a picture of a bag that reminds me of mine. Some bags get carried much more than others. I really should keep track and let go of some.

I'm almost relieved that Coach has gotten out of my price range so I won't get any more.
