I'm not sure if I posted this in the right section but I have this rosary necklace I've recently purchased from armani. I did some research on the internet and found people saying how these are not meant to be worn as necklaces because it offends the catholic religion.

The beads are sorta blueish green(it's a more fashionable version of a rosary) and I've been wearing them with a v neck t shirt and it matches great with my new LV azur belt. I am worried what people will think of me. Is it appropriate and do you think these would look okay on a guy? HELP.. thanks!

I LOVE catholic rosaries! I don't know if they're still in style, but I wear them lol

I wouldn't worry if it's still in style, if you wanna wear it then wear it. If you're afraid of offending someone then maybe not

that armani one is gorgeous btw

I was raised Catholic and although that's reminiscent of a rosary, it's not a rosary. Maybe from afar it would be mistaken for a rosary, but not if you look closely. I think it's quite beautiful. I would wear it. Back in the early '80s when Madonna wore rosaries there was a fuss about it being sacriligious, but I don't think that's the case anymore.

On trend or not - wear what you think looks good. You bought it because you like it so who cares what others think!!??!! I always stick to what I love which makes me more comfortable and confident and confidence is always in style! :smile1:

Thanks everyone! Looks like I'll be wearing them a lot for summer.

Yes, I agree with you. If I like it then I shouldn't care what others say. :smile1:

I think it's nice that you're concerned with offending people, very thoughtful of you. I agree with the others though, it definitely doesn't look enough like a real rosary to cause you any potential problems. :smile1:
