Are there Loewe bags made in china?

I bought a Loewe bag in Japan and I only find it lately that it is made in china.Is there any possibility that some of their bags are manufacture in China?please enlighten me.This is the first loewe bag i owned that is made in china.Thank you.

From the date code it looks like this was produced in 2007 - the Loewe logo is also the older pre Jonathan Anderson version. Not familiar with Loewe products from this long ago, but I reckon it's always a possibility.

Thank you very much. It really disappoint me ,I emailed and called customer service,and they just said that their bags are made in Spain and didn't say that this bag is fake they just mentioned that this is an older model . ..but how come?bought this is a loewe store in Japan ..I am thinking that indeed they made their bags once in china. .

It’s not possible that you managed to get this bag in a Loewe store, no Loewe store would have this bag in stock. You probably bought this from a second hand store as there are many such stores in Japan. Unless you mean you bought this from a Loewe store in Japan back in 2007?

@Joan C, I am also confused. I agree with @despair , there is no way a Loewe store would have items from 2007 for sale now. Do you have the address of the store you purchased the bag from and the year of purchase?

But to answer the original question as is, I did some additional digging and found the answers on PF. There was a mix of Made in Spain and Made in China for 2007 and prior years so it would fit within the time frame of your model of bag. Hope this helps! 🕵️‍♂️

To be fair, in all probability all their bags are made in China, just the logo 'Made in Spain' is sewn on in Spain, so that they can say it's made in Spain. It's a common practice for designers. That's why the real cost of production is maybe 100 EUR max, and they can sell it for 3000 pretending it was made in Europe ;)
