Hi!

I'm researching my next bag purchase. I have always admired chanel.

Are there any everyday bags that are generally in stock at boutiques for under 3k?

I like a small to medium sized bag. I'm petite and usually don't need to carry a lot of stuff.

If not I'll just revisit the idea of getting a chanel once I'm ready to spend $5k on a mini flap or seasonal bag.

The only 'bag' that comes to mind is a vanity. Not a bag, technically, but people still use them as a bag.

You'd be perfect for the wallet on chain.. I highly recommend that bag. It's the least expensive bag in my collection but the one I wear the most.. I'm also petite and don't carry much. I'm not sure if it's still under 3k though, it might be a couple hundred dollars above that. You can get a lot more for 3k on the resale market, though.

I love the WOCs but I wonder if I'm too short for it to look nice on me (I'm 5'4").

Does anyone know how the deauville holds up as an everyday purse?

I have my heart set on buying new from the boutique and not pre-loved for chanel.

Us petite girls have to wrap the strap up twice :) they should show you how to at the boutique. i always wear mine double wrapped.

Echoing everyone else here WOC are now marked over 3k, considering the cruise collection was released they had some pouches and the vanity bag when I asked last week was roughly 2k which you could style as a bag
The alternative is a pre-owned but vintage items are now marked a lot higher because of the quality issue the newer bags have faced recently. Hope this helps!

The clutch with chains do look so cute. I worry it won't fit much besides my phone which is 6 inches long.

Ughhh I guess I'll have to go to a boutique and browse what I like.

I went to one of the boutiques near me when they had a line going outside the door and I felt kind of rushed because I wasn't buying that day.

I would suggest a WOC since at least it can hold a phone and some other basics pretty well. Of course, when you get into the flap bags, you can hold more, but the WOC has reasonable capacity for its size.

The vanity cases are really cute to look at, but I find that many of them don't fit a phone at all or are just sort of a weird shape when it comes to what fits in there.
