Are LV bag charms appropriate to wear at any age?

no I don’t think it looks odd. It never occurred to me that age would be a condition to wear. I am not, however, a fan of bag charms as I feel it detracts from a beautiful bag. But I realize others like it.
LV has some of the most "tasteful" bag charms out there compared with other brands. They don't look like Etsy creations is what I mean...not that I'm against Etsy charms. Regardless, you do you. People festoon $$$ Hermes bags like they're twelve-year-olds on a sleepover, so it's a wide open world.
Jellyv you are too funny! I do not like bag charms on bags at all. I am over 50 and yes imho I think it’s inappropriate. Having said that I have 2 that were both gifted to me. One was from an amazing SA for Mother’s Day 2019 and one was from my younger son for my birthday last year. I almost fainted when he told me what he spent on it lol. But I did not have the heart to return it. He waited 90 minutes in line to purchase it for me.
Age matters not! It’s all about personal style and preferences. I have the same lovely bag charm as @PrayersandPurses above (it’s my only LV bag charm) and it goes with almost everything I have. I also love laduree charms on LVs as well. I don’t think any handbag needs a charm on it but sometimes it’s nice to have a bit of extra color or flash. My personal preference is that any charm, twilly or chain should compliment a bag - but not detract from it (or overwhelm it). But again nothing to do with age (I’m 50)!

Appropriateness is so subjective. My bag charms make me happy. I’m sure others judge, but as long as they keep it to themselves it’s none of my business.
I definitely prefer LV charms over the Hermès horse, I forget his name but you know the one. Many LV charms are like jewellery so it's a bit like a dangling bracelet that can be matched with the rest of your look.
I'm very particular about bag charms (and I'm 57). I honestly don't like mixing charms with a specific brand (ex: a bought Etsy charm on an LV bag. I like an LV charm on an LV bag, etc.). I have a very tasteful LV charm that I wear with my Speedy 40 that I love and bought last year, and I wear a Prada robot charm on my Prada nylon backpack.

Absolutely not. Buy and use whatever you like, and worry not what anyone else thinks!

I am pretty old and for years collected Coach charms and one LV charm though I do not have any LV bags. I enjoy the whimsy of the charms. Why not, life is short. I am waiting for the arrival of my Hogwarts sorting hat charm for my new Harry Potter bag. Enjoy any and all things.
