Are logos going to last?

Let’s have some fun here. I’m very curious to read all your thoughts. The logo mania craze has been everywhere lately. Is it a passing trend like it has been in the past? Are we soon to all be carrying under-the-radar bags? OR, with the new-ish availability of an extremely popular resale market, making items accessible to people who couldn’t or wouldn't pay retail, are they a permanent fixture in our fashion? I’m curious about what you think about the next couple years, and beyond.

Everything in fashion is cyclical so, yes, the big, in your face logoed bags will eventually look dated and everyone will rush to be under the radar. But, I don’t think that will happen for a few years yet. (Think how long the mini bag phase has lasted.) The only caveat is if we have another worldwide recession. People will tend to be more conservative in displaying wealth if that happens and logoed bags would be “out” more quickly.

That being said, I think “traditional” logoed bags like LV canvas will always be desired by a significant portion of the bag buying market.

Logos have been around for a very very long time. Guess, Gucci, Dooney n Burke, Coach, Louis Vuitton and so on. . . They are not trends and not going anywhere.
