Went to the store in CT and saw a stack of big oranges boxes shrink wrapped behind the cash wrap. Do all handbags arrive in shrink wrap or only birkins? The one time I was offered a birkin it was only in the dust bag and I was shown in the fitting room. This was a while ago though.
Are birkins the only bags that come in shrink wrapped boxes?

And my last Lindy's shoulder strap still had the plastic sleeve on it as well and the box shrink wrapped.
All handbags (and even little items like leather bracelets) arrive to the store with the shrink wrap on the box. However, just because the box isn't shrink wrapped when shown to you doesn't mean it isn't new, just means it has already been taken off. More often than not, B/K's (or other very very popular items) may still have the shrink wrap when shown because the bag is quickly reserved by the SA and it's not being shown to many people or more than one person.
and i am pretty sure that they can "re-shrink" the box in-house. i have been shown the exact spec birkin on a different day at the same boutique and both times came out in shrink wrap. on other different occasion the shrink wrap plastic was scotch taped and out came the the same bag.
