Hi all,

I'm contemplating adding an aquamarine eternity band to stack with my current wedding/engagement set, but not sure if the colors will go together? My engagement ring is a sapphire solitaire while the wedding band is platinum (no diamonds). My daughter's birthstone is aquamarine hence I've always wanted to get something with that stone to celebrate her birth. However, I'm hesitating as I'm not sure if the aquamarine eternity band would look good with the sapphire solitaire and platinum wedding band.

Has anyone stacked these two stones together before? If so, I'd love to see pictures!

I don't see why not!

My mother is partial to sapphires and my husband's birthstone is sapphire (so he prefers them too) and my birthstone is aquamarine.
I have 2 rings that I like to stack, one with a sapphire, the other with an aquamarine and it looks quite cute. They are singular stones and the metal of the rings are yellow gold though so not exactly what you're going for but I can take photos when I get home.

You can also do a search on places like Etsy where they have more unconventional combinations. It may not have the exact combo of what you're looking for but you can compare the colors together to see if you like them.
Here's one I found on Etsy:

Depending on the colour of your sapphire, I think that would be lovely. I would work with a jeweller who can hand select the stones to be an appropriate compliment to your engagement ring rather than buying pre-made (unless you find one that you know compliments)

Also know that aquamarine have high maintenance needs. It goes cloudy very quickly and needs regular cleaning.

My birthstone is aquamarine too and “unfortunately” I really dislike how it looks on me and I just don’t feel for it. When I was much younger, i tried to own one (attempting to do the birthstone-matchy). And I agree it gets cloudy/smudged after awhile and it looked a mess. Just really really hard to upkeep it as a forever piece, though the colors @lill_canele had posted of the gems is beautiful. But it might look and feel differently IRL.

My alternative birthstone is jade which actually looks better on my skin tone.

the story behind in getting the stone is lovely; so I think something small will be easier to upkeep for aquamarine.

My DD’s is ruby/carnelian. But Ruby is so expensive. I might just settle for carnelian :p

Here are mine, very different from what you’re envisioning but I think it’s a cute combo.
(Sorry I don’t take great photos)
