i would like to apply for saks card but wondering if they will actually give me enough credit to buy a chanel bag. does saks start you off with a high credit limit or not? thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so mad at Saks. I purchased a handbag from them and they did not include the box, so I returned the bag to them. When I received my statement this month, I was expecting only the charge of the shipping to show up as the sale and return should have been a *wash*. Well, they charged me interest! I couldn't believe it. The sale and return were within 2 weeks of each other!. I've never had this happen with any of the other retailers.
the limit depends on your credit, but when i open it at the store, it was few hundred short for the 2 Chanels I charge, and they increase it on the spot .
sammiekat~yup, that's when they get you, so i always pay them off at end of month.
kern23- it can take several business days for the return and credit to be posted, so if it's close to your new billing cycle, interest rate is still applicable.
