Apple Garde Spray, Repairs, and LV Vachetta

Hi All.

I'm planning to use Apple Garde on my Pochette Metis. I'm also planning to get my handbag repaired as there is a glazing issue. I know that LV will not fix items that have been altered outside of LV. My question is (forgive me if this is silly) - Is the application of the Apple Garde spray on the Vachetta considered an alteration and will they not fix the handbag?

I've applied waterproof spray, and had no issues when I sent my bag in for repairs. I think what they mean by "outside" work is obvious alterations.

“Silly” questions are never silly. They are all valid. Is there a way to slow down the patina process? I kind of like it a little lighter than darker. I have a speedy b.
