I just got a preloved Pochette accessories. The overall condition is very good with maybe a little color darkenting. I am considering apply Apple Garde to the vechetta.

My question is do I need to clean it before applying? If so, what should I clean the Vachetta with? Thanks.

Can you show us how dark it is? If it is almost new, I'd go over with everything-free baby wipes first. But I am generally against any chemical treatment to be honest.

I don’t have the bag yet but here are some of the pics from the seller. Will the baby wipe darken it more? Not sure if it was treated with Apple Garde before.IMG_3947.jpegIMG_3948.jpegIMG_3949.jpegIMG_3950.jpeg

Looks fairly new.
The baby wipe will darken it for 20 minutes, but once it dries, it will be back to normal. It will clean it though.
I don't know if this kinda chemical treatment can be detected. Or what a double treatment would cause. I'd still vote for using it as is. So little VVN, easy to keep away from rain. And once gets too old, they can replace it easily.

Part of me still wants to spray it. I live in the Seattle area and it rains 9 months out of a year here. Do you think if it is ok for me to spray it after cleaning it with baby wipe?

Although it's not recommended by LV, I use Apple Garde on all my vachetta, both preloved and new. I haven't experienced any issues. On preloved bags I haven't cleaned the vachetta prior to treating with Apple Garde. If I were going to, I would use a baby wipe, no alcohol, etc., as Bull suggested.
