Apple garde on azur canvas?

Can you use apple garde on canvas or will it damage it? I typically use it on all my vachetta but want to find a way to protect the azur from color transfer

AppleGuard only works on leather and suede. I can’t recall if I used scotchguard on the Damier Azur canvas.
