So I thought I was ready to sell my vintage montsouris mm backpack. I never use it and I’m worried about staining the leather any further. But it’s in great vintage condition, I’m worried I’ll regret it. But I also find it not practical for me and it hurts lol I think the straps hit a nerve or maybe I over stuffed it. Not sure. But it’s Beautiful and the money would be going towards my first chanel. I thought for sure I was ok with letting it go and my friend said no it’s a classic you’ll regret it. Any advice? Thanks

Not LV but in the mid-2000's I purchased a gorgeous Chanel 2.55 with the lion's head clasp. (GORGEOUS). I bought it at Cattle Baron's Ball, a Dallas charity auction. I paid nothing for it, like $2200 which was a lot of money but I could afford it. For some ridiculous reason, because of my own money and self-worth issues, I sold it almost immediately after I bought it...at.a.loss!
That bag was so gorgeous, I should've kept it. It also would've been a great investment given how much Chanel bags values has risen ♀️

Ask your friend if she wants to buy it. Why would you keep a bag that you do not wear and also hurts? We have all regretted letting a bag go over the years, I'm sure, but usually I do not look back if it's not getting any use. I always call these bags "closet trophies" lol.
Some bags we are attached to for sentimental reasons. I have sold quite a few bags because I simply was not using them and if someone else would love them more than me, then that gave me a greater feeling than hanging on to a bag for sentimental reasons. And it is not comfortable for you, I'm certain if you release it another bag will come that will bring you more joy.
But I also have been practicing minimalism for the past few years/do not collect bags and it has taught me to keep only what I will use and not what I really want (truth be told, I want the whole LV, Tiffany's, Chanel and Burberry store
