Books & Music anyone reading "50 shades of grey" trilogy?

I bought the trilogy last week and literally tore the plastic off yesterday and read the first book up to chapter 10. I'll probably read them all quickly because I want to see what the fuss is about.

I'm interested in seeing who gets cast for the movie. I certainly hope it's not Kristen Stewart! Yes to Ryan Gosling or Alexander Skarsgard :smile:

i just finished reading them. i really liked a lot of it. her writing is pretty awful- the inner goddess stuff especially- and basically it's Lady Porn but I'm ok with all that. I wish there was a guy who looked like Christian in my head but I don't think he exists ;)

I'm halfway or so through book 2... The sex has become utterly mundane. *yawn*

And the continual push and pull of "don't leave me", that seems like it is every 4 pages though it's not, got old quite some time back. As did how ridiculously over-protective he is. She can't even drive? Seriously.

I won't be reading this series from his POV if there is one.

Just started book 1...and had no idea what it was about. Just heard it was a page turner, so figured Id pick it up. 30 minutes later I'm saying to myself "why didn't y'all warn me" lol.

I logged on tpf and this is the first thread I saw....ok gotta get back to my book, lol

This is how I felt too. Especially the sex part - I had to start skimming those parts. So much for it being erotic. I still couldn't put any of them down though, most likely because I figured at some point it would get really good and juicy.

I was debating if I should buy the books but after reading pages of comments here I think i won't even get started.

And if they make this into movie...... I hope they don't cast Kristen Stewart.

Well I finished all 3 books. I liked them, although like others have said, the writing wasn't that great, the inner goddess stuff started to get on my nerves, and I would LOVE to read it through Christians eyes.

Also, i hope they don't make this into a movie. And if they do, and Kristen Stewart is cast, i will scream.:P

Im almost done with the first book and i have no clue how they are going to turn this into a movie without it being porn, they will have to cut ALOT of scenes, and lets be real, it wont be any good then :P haha

Does anyone know where to download free pdf files of the rest of books?

My boss started talking to me about it last Friday, and I went to the bookstore after work to buy book #1. My boss emailed me book #2, and I'm on book #3. I love reading about Christian and Ana's relationship. I couldn't put the books down.

Christian reminds me of Luke Brandon in Confessions of a Shopaholic, but just more tortured.

I like how the author has a list of each song from each book.

]I read the 3 books in 3 days. I had NOTHING to do so it was lovely to just get lost. I agree about her writing, very repetitive. I dunno why I am so captivated about their story. I have been lost since I finished the 3rd and I have read Gabriel's Inferno and Bared to You to try to get lost in something else and it hasn't worked.

Both books are alright, but they haven't stayed with me the way that 50 Shades has.

My mother is currently borrowing 50 Shades and I told her that under NO circumstances will we discuss the majority of those books lol. I have read naughty parts in books before but I think because I enjoyed this so much more :graucho: it made me feel dirty afterwards lol. Like I had to take a shower after each one to wash the smutty look off my face.

I'm glad to see I am not the only one obsessed with these books and their story.

I am not sure who I want cast. Ryan Gosling is too "The Notebook" for me, and Alexander Saarsgard while he has a nice body, his face does NOTHING for me.

Chris Hemsworth has come to mind. He has a ripped body and gorgeous eyes and his facial features are striking enough. He is pretty but I bet he would be super sexy as palm-twitching Christian :graucho:
