Some beautiful things but of course high prices. Curious to see if any tPFers snap up any of the beaties?

Hi, I've been really getting into the accessories like the Ulysses leather note book and Vision II agenda in orange for which I own both and they are quite lovely. I really want the pencil cup holder, but can't justify over $800. I also want the blanket, but can't justify that at over $1,500. My Wife would really flip her wig ! lolSo many awesome pieces there! What really caught my attention is the HAC from the 1940s!! Almost 80 years old!

It'll look bigger on the average women than on the model but it's a stunning example. I have other bags from the 1940s as well as H, seriously amazing workmanship and materials from then.
I've only bought a bag at auction once. It was at Heritage which is easier IMO because they show the price WITH premium. It's too easy to think the bag is affordable even if you're mentally adding 25%! That said, Heritage service is godawful and I would not buy there again. I'm assuming Christie's would be nicer.....I dream about these auctions because you see the most beautiful bags there. But knowing my competitive nature I'd get pulled into a bidding war and that can't lead to anything good. Still, I'd love to hear people's experiences.
