Never a bag from 1st dibs, but jewellery, lighting, furniture, decorative objects, with no problem. You’re dealing with individual merchants, so be mindful about reading reviews, asking questions and for more photos if needed. You can also make an offer. Most dealers don’t accept returns in my experience.
The 1st dibs platform does give you some buyer protection, but doing your own due diligence is vital. Also, like with any platform that has international suppliers, be aware of any import duties, tarifs, or other costs.

Transactions are with/through the seller, not 1stdibs. You can negotiate.
Just to note,t 1stdibs is an agency-online-platform for professional sellers who usually sell through it at a substantial mark-up to their own or other sites. Look for the item elsewhere, you may be able to save quite a lot of money.
Also, check shipping and duties which can also bulk-up the price further.

Thank you! I'm still thinking about it because the price is quite steep and plus I'll have to deal with the import taxes in my country which is criminal to my pocket to say the least! I've been trying to look for it on other places but can't seem to find it. Thank you for your advice! It is much appreciated!
