Kate Spade Anyone own the Emma book clutch?

Hi, everyone!
I was wondering if anyone owned the Emma book clutch? When you look inside the bag, is there a golden leatherish looking rectangular logo of Kate Spade underneath the clasp or bauble, or is there a tiny golden metal spade attached against white and and black striped fabric?

And how can you tell it is real?

I paid a lot of money for it.
I recently bought one but I'm worried it's a fake, your feedback would be awesome and I would be so grateful for it!

Mine has a gold spade inside and was purchased from the outlet. The license plate version might be from the previous (full price) version.

The gold plating is kind of tarnished, too.
Should that be worrisome? The seller has sent me their electronic copy of the receipt with their financial information blacked out.

But for 14k gold, why is it tarnished?

The plating appears to be fine on mine; I got it a little over a year ago and haven't used it that much. The overall quality is acceptable, nothing spectacular. The plastic cover gets scratched or dented easily, and the clutch doesn't quite close completely.

Maybe the plating is defective? You can try to use a little bit of metal polish and see if it goes away. Keep in mind though if you decide to do that, you may not be able to return it. Good luck.
