Anyone not had the £1 seller fees promotion for a while?

Hi all,

I haven’t had the £1 seller fee promotion since August or September last year. I used to get them every couple of weeks for the last few years and then all of a sudden they stopped. Has anyone else had this issue? It’s so annoying as I used to sell designer items when I no longer wanted them and it was a great way of making back some money without having to pay any fees. Due to Covid and lockdown I could really do with selling a lot of stuff but I don’t want to pay the huge fees! Is there any way of ensuring that I get the deal next time?

I just don’t understand why I’ve not been getting them for months when for years I was getting them every 2-4 weeks.

I get them every two weeks I only list things for sale during such promotions.

I am in the same situation as you, have not received an invite for this since last September. But I just received the invite on Friday.

Anybody know how this promotion works with Managed Payment? Previously we would pay £1 + PayPal fees. Since now there is no PayPal, is the fee capped at £1?

I’m not sure. I haven’t signed up to that yet. Reading through the info, there seem to be other types of fees they charge so I’m a bit unsure about it at the moment. I’m going to hold off for as long as possible!

I sold 2 items, one is domestic and it seems the fee was £1. Another was an international transaction and they charged an international transaction see, which is about 2.2%. No PayPal fees. So overall both are cheaper than using PayPal, so I am quite happy with that.

that’s great! I’ve just listed a load of things on the £1 promotion. Is it too late to sign up for the Managed Payment for these listings?

Sorry I don't know. I signed up with their managed payment a couple of weeks ago when I received email. Then when I listed my items, that was the only payment option on the listing. I couldn't even select PayPal as an option.
