I was just offered a Birkin in gold Vache Leger. As I remember it, it is rather delicate and I worry about how it will wear for an everyday bag. Any opinions?

I have to agree with you, IMO vache liege (sp?) seemed delicate and not as scratch resistant as the other textured leathers.
Maybe it's too early to tell whether it is delicate or not since it is quite new :wondering All I know is it's more expensive than Togo.......
