Anyone here has a Blythe doll?

dont know if anyone has mentioned but, 30 years after being pulled from the stores and sold at low discounted prices ($5!!) Gina Garan, a photographer photographed one of these vintage dolls and they were instantly famous in japan. Takara then bought the rights of the then kenner blythe dolls and they have been collectors dolls ever since.
new versions are periodically released and once sold out, are basically rare and very sought after.

Wow, they look like pint-sized copies of Gemma Ward! (I think she's the prettiest model ever! She, and Lily Cole. And Alec Wek.)

edit. found some pics of the changing eyes (apparently, it's not only the colour they can change...)

yes they are not cheap sadly, mine was around $ 250 (bought her on ebay) .. but it's worth it imo, they are so adorable and unique and you can customize them very personally (different eye colors or matted skin for example) and I love that

I've seen these around the last couple of years. I think they're really cute, but can't really justify the price enough to get one myself. Plus the accessories can be as expensive as getting one that fits me XD
