Anyone have the HH Hudson Satchel?

I've been looking at this bag on their website, and it's on sale now.

What I'm wondering is if the main compartment of the bag zips closed and if this bag is comfortable to wear on the shoulder. I've e-mailed HH, but haven't received a response yet, and I know you ladies will give an honest and unvarnished review.

I have it! And I love it!

The main compartment zips closed. I've found that the bag sits nicely on my shoulder because there's this little padded strip of leather in the middle of it that acts as an extra cushion. The shoulder strap is adjustable so you can make it hit within a 4" range on your side. The leather's wonderful - I included a closeup of the front pocket detail that shows the texture. The handles are comfortable for carrying over the arm or by the side.

All in all I think it's a very well thought out design.

Yes, indeed. Lovely smooshy leather and complements my muted-colored outfits. And jeans, of course!

I'm thinking the black might be able to better pass with dressier ensembles (or work clothes), but I'll let you know what I decide.

I just ordered the Smoke Blue Hudson Hobo. Can't wait to get it. Beautiful bag and color. I like the Blue personally.

I would recommend the black. I bought one for my mum for Christmas, and I can't imagine it looking better in any other colour! I haven't seen the other colours in person, however, so I'm a little biased.

Ordered the black one this morning. I'll post a review once I receive the bag. I've loved every other HH bag I've bought, so my expectations are high!
