I am contemplating buying an absolutely adorable (used) bright red leather handbag from the internet, but it's not super cheap (in the $200/$300 price range) and I don't know anything about the durability of the bag and I don't want to spend that much money on something that I can't use daily. I noticed in the picture that the color had rubbed off of the corner edges. Does that mean the color will also leech away elsewhere? Of course, if worst came to worst I could always get some red Tarrago dye, but I'd prefer to not have to do that. Most concerning is the question of whether or not the bright red would transfer onto my clothes. Would I get bright red all over the violet jacket that I wear in the wintertime? Can anyone speak to the quality of Oscar De La Renta bags?
