I just got my custom closet installed and would like to get new uniform hangers to complete the look. Anyone has has any experience with the California Closets hangers? I was thinking of using the thin space saving plastic ones in the photo for most items and their wood ones for heavier suits etc. I couldn’t find many reviews online, so I’m hoping that the TPF crowd can help. Thank you in advance!

Costco has something similar we use:

Flocked Hangers - Two 50-packs

Item 1298350

About $35.00 per pack

I bought all wooden hangers (light wood) from the Container Store too....and I bought their thicker ones for my heavy coats. I don't like the thin velvet hangers because they leave marks on your clothes unfortunately.

I haven't noticed marks, have used them for years. I like them because they take up so little room, I can pack more in lol
We do prefer wooden hangers for suit jackets, pants, etc. . .

I do think mens shirts would be ok with the thin hangers because they tend to be wider in the shoulders but I noticed marks on women's blouses. I never had the velvet ones but I've helped friends reorganize their closets and whenever we'd take blouses off the velvet hanger, 99% of the time, it had dents on the shoulders where the seam of the sleeve is. I convinced one of my friends to get the same wooden hangers that I have and she's thrilled because it gives it a boutique vibe now. I also prefer the wooden hangers because they take up more space which keeps you from over stuffing the closet-but I am constantly editing my closet.
