I’m asking this because my small love bracelet showed some defects after 7 weeks of buying it from the boutique. Went back, Cartier “freshened up” the bracelet, and after 3 months, de defect showed up again, which is clearly a defect and not my fault (I have multiple bracelets which all are fine). I don’t want them to polish the bracelet because it could change the looks of the bracelet. Since I already gave them a chance to fix the defect and it occurred again, I don’t want them to fix it again, I just want a new bracelet.
For jewelry from this kind of €€ you can at least expect a good quality. The first time I brought it in the said they have never heard these issues from anyone, so I’m thinking I’ve just got a “bad” bracelet.

anyone ever had an issue with a bracelet and got a new bracelet from Cartier?

My SA told me that Paris has to decide about it but I think a manager can also decide this and I don’t see why the bracelet has to be send to Paris.

I really love my Cartier bracelets and I’m so sad this happens again. I don’t want any issues with them I just want a good bracelet.

Yes I had issues with a thin but since the thins were identical they went ahead and replaced both. When I was at the boutique we couldn’t tell which one it was…I’m not sure they would have normally done that. I also had a 10 diamond thin replaced after a poor repair. When they replaced they didn’t send anywhere I think my SA just talked to the manager and it was done on the spot!

Definitely go back to your SA.

Good to know, thank you. I already let my SA know by text I want a replacement and that I don’t see why it has to be send and if a manager can decide. He hasn’t answered me (clever lol) so I’ll wait and see what happens. I know what I want, what my rights are as a costumer so I can be determined.
After the exchange, did you ever had any problems with your new thins again? Would you wanna tell me which problems you’ve had? Maybe mine are the same.

I had a similar issue with one of my bracelets, the SA tightened it and my mistake was not checking before leaving. I slip the bracelet off my hand so asked her to tighten it and put it in the box for me because I can easily slip it on later, so I didn’t wear it, when I arrived home a fee hours later, there was a huge scratch near the screw, I was positive that the SA caused it while screwing it, I immediately contacted her, she said to bring it. When I did they tried to talk me through polishing it, I insisted and insisted that I wanted a new one since I basically bought it brand new with a scratch! a manager stepper in and he gladly offered to order me a new one… it took me some effort but it was obviously worth it!

I bought my mom a thin love with diamonds and I think it was like 4 or 5 months later she woke up one day and it was opened on the bed. Not on the screw side but on the hinge part. Like the hinge came out of the bracelet like it was melted correctly to the inside of the bracelet and the bracelet was still closed on the screw side. They sent it out and determined it was defective and not repairable so they sent me a new one.
