Anyone else notice this change in the baguette strap?

I might be late realizing this but did anyone else notice Fendi lengthened the top handle strap on the medium baguette? I bought one last year but eventually sold it because I didn’t like the crossbody strap and the top handle looked a little awkward on the rectangular size. Fast forward to last week, I decided to try again because I really like the pale pink color and the top handle drop is definitely way longer now. I can definitely fit it on my shoulder which I could not do with the old one. I’m not sure if it’s as long as the 1997 but it seems comparable and I think it looks better. You can see the difference in these two stock photos.

Hi Everyone- I have another question.. Has anyone seen these in person? I am hoping that they WILL slouch and will not look as rigid in the photos as shown. What do you think?

in general Baguettes have been slouchy since the first release 25 years ago regardless of the material, with obvious exception to a few LE that are specifically made to be rigid

The straps are longer now, not sure if it will only be a seasonal thing or if they'r making a permanent change, the new length is about the same as the middle setting on the vintage perforated belt straps, while the previos length still in store is comparable to the shortest vintage setting

Thanks for adding this info! I hope its permanent. Loving the longer strap for shoulder wear.

I bought a Baguette a few weeks ago from the Boutique and my strap is the shorter strap, unfortunately. Love the bag....VERY functional and practical. I LOVE how slouchy it is. No regrets at all. Am thinking of purchasing another in a different color.

I have a few of the baguette sizes and noticed something - the larger sizes (medium and up) has slouch due to the outter stitching being inverted (think sellier). However, on the newer style midi chain one, that baguette is very structured and will not slouch since it has a reinforced piping on the exterior around the edge. Hope this helps.
