Anybody’s LV hardware chipping?

So i’ve had my pochette metis for 4 years and today i noticed this on the strap hardware. Is this normal wear and tear? I have a speedy 25 and the hardware is not doing this…

I can’t really see it in your photos, to be honest, but chipping is quite normal, unfortunately.

Sadly normal with the gold HW of the „cheaper“ canvas line bags. My Speedy B does the same…
This issue has been discussed a lot here in TPF and in web, very common issue

That’s so annoying, I’ve not had that happen yet but most of my LV ‘s are older when they had some quality control. The only newer item I’ve got has peeling handles - not good enough for the price.Sadly I don’t think there’s a lot you can do.

This was my hardware on Speedy B after 3 years… the carabiners chipping getting silver spottet, the D-Ring and rest of the hardware chipping and turning „orange“…. I get it exchanged now (for fee)

I have a Croisette DE and the hardware area under the clasp looks like orange peel. I’ve seen it before on the Favorite hardware. Is that a defect? Can it be fixed?
