Hi,

I am looking for an "everyday" vintage coach in either British Tan or Dark Brown. I like more of a rounded, hobo style as opposed to a flap bag like the city or stewardess. The challenge I am having is that I like a shorter shoulder strap...definitely nothing that hangs lower than 12-13 inches. When I am searching online, it is hard to tell how "short" the straps go as they usually say they are just adjustable. It doesn't need to be a crossbody. Can anyone recommend a style to search? So hard to tell on the pre-loved sites and usually there is not much of a description. Thanks so much....

Take a look at the Legacy Zip Hobo 9966. It is a zip-top bag and the adjustable strap has 4 settings, so if you set it at the 4th hole it should be pretty short.

See the link below for picks of a black Legacy Zip that I rehabbed. In the photos I have it set on the 1st hole so the strap is at the longest setting.

That is exactly what I am looking for, thank you! You did a great job on it!! I Does it fit a good amount of things? I just made the mistake of buying another bag online (not a coach) from the Real Real and I didn't look at the measurements carefully enough and it is way too small...and now I can't return it. Just want to make sure the sizing on this is right..I think 11x11 is a good size for an everyday bag. thanks again

It is 11 x 11.5 x 4.5, so it is a good size for a vintage bag, but I would consider it a medium-sized bag in comparison to some of the much larger modern bags.

Here is a photo of 3 classic bags that I rehabbed in the past; a mahogany Patricia, a white Legacy Zip, and a black Stewardess bag. I set a ruler next to the white Legacy Zip and it is about 12 inches tall. The strap is set at the second hole so it is still a bit long but can be adjusted.

The picture came out kind of orange for some reason but you can see the relative sizes.
