Any style eventually "grow" on you???

I felt the same way about the Bolide, but as you get more familiar with Hermes and develop preferences for color and leather, the Bolide becomes much more interesting. It really takes on the personality of the leather and color much more than the other bags, IMO.

I agree about the Bolide. Once you get past the cachet of the Birkin and Kelly, you can appreciate the understated quality, beauty, and functionality of the Bolide, which is really a great bag for the person who has nothing to prove by having something "in".

It is such a discreet bag it took me a long time to realize how much it would fit my life!

I think that's what's so interesting about collecting-it was love at first sight with the Masai-but one day you wake up, or browse around on eBay, and think-how can I live without an Evelyne??? How could I have never known this before? The beauty of collecting is the evolution of our eye.

I do get a little put off when Hermes is classified for the elderly. If I had enough money and taste to buy H in my twenties, I'm pretty sure I would have. So now, in my forties, I'm making up for lost time.

I would have to say that my new love would be the Paris Bombay. It's just so cute in the way that it's constructed. I haven't seen that profile on any other bag. Reminds me of a haute couture dress.
