any jewelers here, ? re: fabbing diamond bezel

Hi Guys and Gals - So I know that a watch can have a diamond bezel fabricated for it - I know gals have done it with their non-dia bezel J12's....

I bought my husband the Corum Gambler (ltd ed. bubble watch) while in Vegas - he really wanted the one with the diamond bezel; but, the additional $3500 was not in the budget at that time. Also, he really likes the black diamond bezel on the J12's and commented that he would love to do that on his white ceramic technomarine.

I have been calling every local Jeweler in the phone book and am met with dumbfounded - "UH" each time I ask if they can produce a diamond bezel or set diamonds on an existing bezel. I keep getting asked if it is a Rolex (I am guessing because Rolex has gold bezel so easier to set diamonds?)

Please educate me: Can diamonds not be set on materials other than Gold? Am I speaking Klingon when I ask for a non-diamond bezel to become a diamond bezel? Should I be asking something else?

Our anniversary is in 2 weeks and I really wanted to get this done for him on either the Corum or on his white ceramic technomarine (black diamond bezel)...please help me understand how to ask for this service!!

Yes, they can set diamonds into stainless steel. However, doing so will devalue the watch.

TNS Diamonds in Philadelphia (also on the web and ebay) does custom Corum diamond settings.
