I love looking at all the blogs here but there is no way I could dress like these fabulous women do. Are there any blogs for the mature woman? I need some ideas I'm stuck in a tee and jeans rut. I am 55 but young at heart lol, and do dress a little younger than my age (maybe 40-something)

I too am 55-opps-56! and wear lots of jeans and tops too work as I work in a chemistry lab and top with a lab jacket) .

When Its the weekend, I wear my nice clothes-which include some DVF tops and wraps, ankle slacks and tops, and love maxi dresses/skirts in the summer.
I dont think mature-dress more like 40'ish as well, so I take my style from the many postings , and take what I like-and just enjoy looking at those items that just wouldn't work.
As I age, I see that age is in the eye of the beholder-I dress like I feel, and know when the dress is too short, the shorts to short and the tops too tight-it just evolves from the aging process and knowing oneself .
Any postings on clothes is always HELPFUL TO ME:yahoo:

such good advice:smile1:
I used to work in a lab so I know what you mean. Why dress up when there is a lab coat over it and chemicals to ruin it And I still dress that way unfortunately

Great blogs. Glad I found this thread. I have been thinking there should be a thread on here for what the "mature" woman is wearing these days. I always love looking at pics and getting inspiration.

I would actually recommend girl with curves. She is younger but has a very classy style and looks fresh and modern and would work for any age IMO. She is great about using jackets to polish up a look with jeans.

Just found a great blog called Girls of a Certain Age. Not a fashion blog per say, but a funny more mature blog. The writer used to be an editor at Lucky. She has a great voice and doesn't "love" everything which I find so annoying with the popular younger bloggers.
