I went to the Coach store last night to check out the new gold Phoebe that jane recently posted pics of. Wow is that gorgeous...hope I get a 25% off in the mail while it's still available. The SA also showed me the gold Borough. Nice...I don't think I could make that bag work for me though.

While there, the Georgie caught my eye. I don't know why I never really noticed it before. Is it newish? I like the separate compartments. I'm an engineer and try to be organized so I can't get bags with one compartment, no matter how gorgeous. Anyway, what I like about the small Phoebe is the double straps that can be worn on the shoulder. I don't like bags with two short handles and one long strap. While the Georgie has a long strap, I wouldn't use it. I'm wondering how the double handles work worn over the shoulder or if they are too short for that.

Would appreciate any input on the Georgie regarding the straps or anything else. Does it hold an ipad well?

Love it. Don't own it. Have fondled it in the store many times. I don't remember it being big enough to hold a full size ipad but it's a very nice! It's been out a while. My last touch was NYC back in April.

I can see why you've fondled it a lot. I think you're due to fondle it again. Get thee back to a Coach store! They had an ostrich one that I kept admiring, even though it's not really me, it sure was nice.

I love that one!! Especially the orange trim ostrich one. Not really a pink girl. I would love to go back and fondle but, unfortunately, the credit card is holding a knife to my throat. I'd do another ban but I learned my lesson.

Yes, it was the orange trim one. Gorgeous. I'm leery of such light colored bags though after a bad experience with a favorite one of mine...

I'm not a fan of compartment bags but Georgie works because it's only 2. I can fit a 7" tablet but not a full size ipad.

I have the small Georgie in Pink Ruby. My full sized iPad doesn't fit. I don't have a smaller tablet to with which to test. Small G's handles don't fit on my shoulder, but her longer strap stays nicely on my shoulder and she's comfy ( for me ) to wear cross-body.

I have the small Georgie in PR as well and it's very cute and stylish. It's the first cross body bag I've gotten from Coach that doesn't sit awkwardly right above my hips (I'm 5'9").

My only complaint is there seems to be a lot of wasted space with the way they split the two compartments. If they'd added a little middle compartment like the Phoebe it'd be perfect, but it doesn't seem as spacious as it should be for it's bulk, IMO.

Thanks everyone! I was most interested in the larger one which appears to have a center pocket. I should've paid closer attention, but I was trying not to be too interested. Will probably have to take another look next time I'm there. ;)
