Hi! I am in Paris and would like to get a Birkin to add to my collection. Problem is...so does everyone else! I usually buy in NYC but have bought in others boutiques as well. I have a modest collection of 2 birkins, 1 kelly, 1 evelyne, 1 so Kelly, a dozen or so scarves and bangles....but have my mind set on getting a bag in paris...don't know why....so romantic notion or something!
Of course, I get the typical Hermes run around/blank stare every time in go in the store and inquire. Honestly, I've never encountered one problem or one bit of attitude in any hermes store ever, before now! So frustrating. I know they have bags because I see others getting them.
Any one here have an sa there who may be particularly kind to desperate American? ;). Maybe a secret password? :cool: or perhaps it's not meant to be.... :shucks: I did not travel with my Hermes bags and am wearing lv every time I go in...maybe that is my problem? Or just bad luck. My husband thinks I'm crazy going in 3 times a day to "beg" in Paris while they fall over me in NYC and wants me to give it up... But we are here until Tuesday, and I wont give up until then! Lol!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've found you just have to get lucky. Keep trying!

i went there last May 2011 and i saw this Asian SA (and btw, i am asian). i was asking for constance belt and he said its out of stock for a long time.

i went back the following day, and really dressed up for it! i met SA Arnold and he was fabulous! and i told him about this Asian SA that told me the previous day that they dont have stock. and he just smiled at me and telling me silently - its because maybe you dont look like youre really buying! so i ended up buying 2!!!

i agree with twistedblogger. it all depends on who you ask. one SA will tell you an item is not in stock and another will pull that item out from under their sleeve...within just a few minutes of inquiring with the first SA. dont be afraid to ask multiple SA's for what you are looking for. Sometimes it is a communication barrier (although most st FSH speak english well) other times they may be eyeing the clock for their break and can not be bothered.

I went there a few months ago, you are right when i stuck to one, i couldn't get any help,,she kept going to some clients and would not take me seriously...so i ended up asking 2 others and was helped...one had a very dark lip liner (not sure if that helps) also it's best to avoid weekends, often they are very crowded
