Any chance to walk-in and get a Kelly at FSH and George V?

Hi,

I'd like to purchase a 28 or 32 Kelly this year and I'm planning to go to Paris.

Does anyone know if Hermes supply their shops in Paris regularly with Kelly bags for walk-in customers?

I want a neutral color but want to avoid black if possible and was thinking of Bleu de Prusse or other blue-purple color (do you know if Hermes has a similar color to Bottega Veneta Ink? because it's surprisingly a very versatile color).

I think you have a good chance. Of course, their best bags probably won't be exposed so you may have to show you're a 'good' customer and purchase some accessories and whatnot before they offer you anything from the back. I just was at the Madison store this weekend and was offered a beautiful 32 Kelly in one of the SS 2011 colors. Also, the Vienna store has had tons on their selves recently. I figure if Madison and Vienna have a bunch of them, Paris will be well stocked.

I was at FHS last week . I do try to work with the same one or two SAs and was offered a gorgeous 32cm Kelly sellier in Gold epsom. Unfortunately, I already have a similar bag and the SA then offered me a orange swift 32cm Kelly Lakis...which went home with me. I did see another SA then offer the gold kelly to a girl in her 20s who obviously had no relationship with the SA and looked like she was new to H purchases in general.

I think your chances are greatest at these stores. I mean they're made right there. It's the mothership right?It's not like they're waiting for shippment from another country. I heard lots of happy ending stories from these locations, with not even having to unload big bucks for other things, off course they like that too. If you find the right SA, and she takes a liking and some pity on you, knowing you'd love to go home with the ultimate souvenir, I think you've got nothing to loose. Give her a good story and be persistant. At least you have a reason to visit the store (maybe several times even). Think poitive, think lucky, think Hermes. Have fun and good luck.

May i know... what kellys did they have on the shelves in vienna? as in, austria, vienna right?

I don't know about Birkins but FSH should definitely have Kellys.
I never had any problem walking into FSH and asking for specific Kellys. They check to see if they have it, and they bring it to you if they do. They also check to see what they have and tell you, so you can end up with what you didn't even know you wanted.
And I didn't have a special relationship with the SA's. I just walked in and asked the first SA who could help me.

To Pianoprincess...I'm sorry to say that the Vienna I was mentioning was the Vienna, Virginia store, also referred to as the Tyson's store. Sorry :sad:

it's ok, blanchetcf!!! i was having a minor heart attack when i read your comment- im away from my local store (vienna,austria) this month, so when i read that they had kellys ...i was so disappointed! but now i feel better knowing it isnt! hahaha。。。 :p
